Slap Battles Maze Guide: The Elude Maze Timer

The maze runs on a timer

The single most important thing about the Elude Maze: you get 666 seconds inside it — 11 minutes and 6 seconds — to find and claim a glove. Miss the window and you leave empty-handed.

That timer is why maze runs feel so different from the rest of Slap Battles. Everywhere else you can grind at your own pace; here the clock is the boss.

What unlocks inside

Three gloves are obtainable in the Elude Maze:

  • Elude
  • Counter
  • Pan

Each has its own trigger inside the maze rather than a shared exit. Community route guides consistently describe wall levers and hidden placements as the mechanism — run the layout, find the trigger, click the glove before the timer runs out.

The maze is also a gateway

Two of the game’s better-known unlocks are not in the maze but are reached through maze mechanics.

Doorkeeper has its own sub-location: equip Relude, slap a player using Elude, and a door spawns that leads to the Doorkeeper obtainment area. This is a two-glove interaction, so it needs either a cooperative player or a private server — see the Doorkeeper page.

The Guide is the maze-adjacent bossfight, and it is unusual: it is the only encounter in the game that can award three different gloves — Relude, Hunter and Avatar. Its clear badge, It’s Finally Over…, sits at 1,408,787 holders, making it one of the more commonly completed fights. The developer’s badge text — “time and time again he almost caught me… but I learned how to avoid him” — describes the loop accurately: it is a chase, not a slugfest.

Pim started here too. The 2023 badge Da Maze Runner (“unleash Pim in the maze… and live to tell the tale”, 1,111,805 holders) is the maze’s own Pim encounter, three years before Pim was promoted to the full three-phase boss fight in August 2026.

Planning a maze run

  • Decide your target before you enter. 666 seconds is not enough time to explore and improvise. Pick Elude, Counter or Pan and go for that one.
  • Bring the interaction partner if you want Doorkeeper. The Relude-slaps-Elude trick needs two players and two specific gloves.
  • Expect to re-enter. Most players do not clear a target on the first attempt, and the timer resets on a fresh run rather than carrying over.

Where this comes from

Maze mechanics, the timer value and the glove list are cross-checked against community documentation and independent route guides. Badge holder counts, dates and developer descriptions are pulled from the public Roblox badge API for universe 2380077519 on 31 August 2026. Full rarity table on the badge index.
