Slap Battles Beginner Guide: What to Chase First

What the game is

Slap Battles is a Roblox fighting game built around one loop: slap other players off the map, earn slaps, spend slaps on gloves. Each glove changes how you fight, and there are 370 of them.

The developers describe the game as chaotic on purpose, and warn in the game description that any form of exploiting or hacking is a permanent ban. Take that literally — no glove is worth the account.

The three things to learn first

1. Slaps are the currency. You get them by slapping people. There is no daily login bonus, no quest board, no passive income. Time in servers is the only source.

2. E is your ability key. Most gloves have an ability — some passive, some triggered. On PC that is the E key; mobile players get an on-screen button. A glove you own but never activate is doing half its job.

3. Turn on shift lock. The developers recommend it directly, and they are right — Slap Battles is about aiming a knockback, and shift lock makes that far more precise.

What to chase first

New players usually make the same mistake: they read about Static or another 2026 glove and go hunting on day one. Those are badge gloves — Static needs a clear of the hardest boss in the game, which fewer than 39,000 players have managed in five years.

A better first-week plan:

  • Buy slap-cost gloves. 151 of the 370 gloves are simple purchases. They build your kit while you learn the maps.
  • Grab the easy badge gloves. Pool Noodle needs a private server and one friend with a Beach Ball — no combat at all, and 190,410 players have it.
  • Then try Camera. An exploration unlock rather than a fight, and the most-completed content of 2026.

What to ignore

  • Codes. There are no confirmed working codes in Slap Battles right now, and codes have never awarded a badge glove. You also need 1,000 slaps before the game lets you redeem anything at all.
  • Script and executor videos. Permanent ban, per the developers’ own game description.
  • Admin gloves. 39 of the 370 gloves are staff-only. No amount of grinding reaches them.

A sense of scale

Some context for how deep this goes: 370 gloves, 294 glove stands, 51 masteries and 165 badges, built up over five years and 3.6 billion visits. You are not going to “finish” this game. Pick a glove you like the look of, learn its ability properly, and let the collection grow from there.

Where these numbers come from

Mechanics come from the developers’ own game description and in-game systems. Glove and badge counts are cross-checked against community documentation updated 28 August 2026 and the public Roblox badge API for universe 2380077519, pulled 31 August 2026.
