How to Get the Doorkeeper Glove in Slap Battles
The short version
Doorkeeper is not bought and not earned solo. It is a glove-on-glove interaction:
- One player needs Relude. The other needs Elude.
- The Relude user slaps the Elude user.
- That spawns a door, which leads to the Doorkeeper obtainment sub-area.
- Complete the area to claim the glove.
The prerequisite chain is the real work
The interaction itself is one slap. Getting to the point where you can perform it is the grind, because both gloves are themselves unlocks:
- Elude comes from the Elude Maze, where you have 666 seconds to find it.
- Relude is one of three gloves awarded by the Guide bossfight — the only encounter in the game that hands out three different gloves (Relude, Hunter and Avatar).
So a realistic Doorkeeper run looks like: clear the Guide fight for Relude, have a partner clear the maze for Elude, then meet up.
Why most people do this in a private server
Coordinating two specific gloves and one deliberate slap in a public 16-player server is miserable. A private server removes the randomness — the same reason Pool Noodle is a private-server unlock.
If you do not have a partner, this is the glove to leave until you do. There is no solo workaround.
Why it keeps trending
Doorkeeper shows up as a breakout Google query for Slap Battles, and it is not because the glove is new — it is because the method is genuinely unobvious. Nothing in the game tells you that one glove slapping another glove opens a door. It is community knowledge, which is exactly why it is worth writing down clearly.
Where this comes from
The obtainment method is documented in community wiki pages covering the Doorkeeper sub-location and the Elude Maze, cross-checked against the Guide bossfight’s three-glove reward structure.
